These sacred shards of leaf, recalling the Tree of Transcendence uncovered by Bede, the ancient and venerable son of the yet more ancient Rambama Crone, in the Crypts of the Hubrisi, a people now as extinct as the Tree itself.

Escritura within the Crypts whisper that, when taken into the Breath, these leaves did once bestow upon Mortals entry into the Gandharva Realm, where the Air was fashioned from celestial music.

However, these same Mortals, frenzied by vision of the Lucre that Attar of such Air would yield for them in the Agora, attempted, in their great foolishness, to capture the Air and to stuff it into their wineskins and aryballos. To punish them for their Greed, the Tree withered all at once, releasing its leaves with their power sanctorum into the hands and lands of the Gandharvas, where they remain in these Times.
