According to the Great Wanderer Lestina of Tav-Isk, who discovered a massive copse of lachrimosas that dated to the Decades of Gracienda (if not earlier), the leaves, every single one of them, have been pierced by the cries of all sentient beings (from Then times to the Newer). The holes, it is said, are memories all their Joys and of all their Pains, their cries as they Become Light and as they Depart this Terra (the same cry, some say). As Lestina writes: the leaves from the Tree of Echoes Tree never fall nor do they decay, holding for all Time the all sounds of those who have been here before us.
